We have free on-site parking for all vehicles, with 41 dedicated Blue Badge spaces located adjacent to the entrance to the Safari Walk. It is a tarmac area on a modest decline towards the pedestrianised area. Parking bays are clearly marked, and spaces are on a first-come first-served basis. On busy dates additional parking may be necessary in other areas.
A valid Blue Badge must be displayed in this area. There is a yellow hatched section closest to the Safari Walk entrance that can be used for drop off/pick ups where required.
The nearest toilets from the blue badge parking bays are 100 - 200 metres up a modest incline and over the zebra crossing.
Although we are built on a valley, the only hills to climb/descend are: between Discovery Trail and the Adventure Theme Park but this is regularly used by wheelchair-bound guests. The path leading to the African Walking Trail has a steep incline with a compressed gravel surface, we do not recommend this route for wheelchair or mobility scooter users. There is a tarmacked road access to the African Walking Trail, following the road up from Marmoset Mischief, please use this route instead.
Lemur Woods is also wheelchair friendly, however is built on a hillside and may be more difficult to navigate in adverse weather.
Pedestrian walkways are fairly wide allowing good access to mobility scooters and free from vehicle access in most areas. The African Walking Trail has shared vehicle access.
The Sea Lion Theatre has ground floor access suitable for wheelchair access with dedicated seating and wheelchair space with full view of the show.
All of our animal habitats in the Discovery Trail are at ground level or via ramps with good wheelchair access.
Adventure Theme Park rides have some restrictions for some disabilities, but are well signposted to avoid confusion.
